Down the Elizabeths 5/18

Post by josko »

We're launching from Woods Hole to go around Naushon island, weather permitting. Meet at Pie in the Sky bakery for breakfast at 0800 or at the put-in @ Woods Hole yacht club ready to go by 0900. Please let me know if you're coming. Forecastis for light winds, and tides are favorable in both directions.

I'll have to explain that comment to Josko next weekend... I doubt he was around for Kate's trip report from their trip a few years ago...

I'd like to go Saturday but can't travel that far from home this weekend.

For the more temperately minded, we're running the same trip on 6/15. It's just that some of us feel the need to get in shape for the upcoming 4* clinic.

Why stop at Naushon? Plenty more islands in that chain, right Kate?

It all depends on how much towing one's willing to do this early in the season.

BTW, we have a Woods Hole to Cuttyhunk trip on the books for June 16th.

(sorry that the photos are no longer available. I did some housecleaning on my server and inadvertently took them down)

Around Naushon seems much more reasonable than to Cuttyhunk and back.

And, I'm planning to be busy on 5/18. Very busy. :)

That sounds like a nice trip. I'd go on 6/15, if you post it; and have room for one more. That little park in Woods Hole, always says kayak to me when I stop there on my bike.

Glad to hear you guys had a better than good trip. I'm still interested in 6/15, but I couldn't find your trip using the AMC site.

It's alos on the 'Upcoming Trips' section of this site.
Just for good measure, we went around Naushon again today in ideal wind/current conditions.
