Possible Casco Bay Maine Day Trip 7/5 or 7/6

Post by noseykate »

I'm cogitating on a trip to new territory over the holiday, done as a day-trip. I could go either Friday or Saturday, but prefer Friday. I'm thinking of launching from Cousins Island and puttering around the many islands in the area, just to see what's there. I'd be getting an early start from Weymouth and can give one person a ride, but more are welcome. Anyone interested in joining me? (Although this is not meant to be a hard-core adventure, it will be cold-water ocean paddling so rescue skills and experience in open water will be required.)

Kate,
If you have no takers and don't mind driving further, I could ask permission for you to join us in Stonington for the AMC paddle Friday or Saturday? Maybe the fog will lift by then! Did Isle Au Haute circumnav Monday but never saw more than about 500 yards due to fog.

Much too far for a day-trip, Norm, but thanks for the offer. I loved kayaking around Stonington, the one time I went. And yes, there was fog then too. Hope you get to see some of the area before you leave!

Sorry Jackie, Friday is the better day for me. Hope to kayak with you another time. Joseph, let me know if you can join me. Anyone else is still welcome too. Otherwise, I'll let you all know how it was!
