Looking for surf, New Inlet, Thurs 10th Sept

Post by Briggsy »

Going to paddle from Driftway ramp out to New Inlet on Thursday, looking to surf that area. If no surf will paddle up or down the coast and back. Will launch 9.30 to 10am, will aim to get back around 4pm.
Some surf experience would be good if you want to come along. You must have a helmet and some rescue skills.

If no surf, go north. South is just boring beach until forever. Just north is Peggotty Beach where my little icon photo was taken. :D

Thanks Mark, checked it out on Google Earth last night and going south definitely looked less interesting. Supposed to be 1-2' swell, not sure how that translates to that particular area, but I've had 2 good surf sessions there in the last 2 years.
We'll see I guess.

Got as far as the Sagamore Bridge knowing the weather was "iffy", then the lightning and thunder hit so decided to turn around. We had stormy weather all day and all night on the Cape
