Ned's Point around West Island

Post by kayakerjnj »

Greetings all,

I've had to rethink my CH trip, and I'm opting for a less strenuous outing for next Saturday (weather permitting)

http://www.gmap-pedometer.com/?r=5532716

I've been struggling with some back pain, and did not wish to burden anyone with my issues on what will likely be a challenging crossing between Goosebury Nech and Cuttyhunk.

For those who wish to take up Josko's offer to go from WH to CH, you'll be in good hands and will get your fill of miles in for the day.

If you would like to join me for this, please RSVP.

9AM Launch.

Hi all,

For those who have not been before here's a link to the parking / put in location

https://goo.gl/maps/HcunpahwgK62

As of this hour, we have a less than 43% chance of rain before 3 PM

Hopefully the weather will cooperate and the winds will give us the fun return trip the route typically provides.

9 AM Launch

Have a good Friday!

See you Saturday

Folks, I think I am going to bail tomorrow. Have a good paddle, and hope to catch up with you all soon.

Jordan,

I might not be able to make this paddle after all, due to some unforseeable circumstances. If I am not at the put-in at launch time, please do not wait for me!

Have a great time!

Thanks to everyone for a good day yesterday.

Quite a workout getting to tip of West Island but the 5 mile downwind surf back to Ned's Point was what I was hoping for all year long!

I didn't think we'd have that much head wind to start the day, but it was good having the same at our backs on the way home.

Bob, I'm really relieved I didn't have to sell my boat
