Do you have any idea as to what size paddler this boat is designed for? I might know someone who'd be interested.

weight range is 140 - 230 lbs according to the chart that I have.

Bea -If you liked the Nomad 8.1 you paddled at Zoar then this should most likely work for you. The Nomad is a full on creek boat while the GT is straight river runner so it is a bit faster and more precise. Kate has one of the smaller ones. Obviously check to see how the outfitting works for you to make sure that you are comfortable and able to edge. Try it out on flat water if possible.

If you buy it you can join me on my Fife trip on 9/19, where I am expecting that Lora will have a successful Gap run shortly.

Or on the West River in beautiful Jamaica Vermont on 9/25

(amc rentals are available for both of those even if you don't buy a boat)

Thanks for all the info, Chris.

Would love to fit in some more white water before the season is over, but all my weekends are spoken for until the beginning of November.........Next year, next year.....

Bea - from the specs and picture on eddyflower.com, this boat looks very similar to my Dagger GTX. I can bring that to Hanson tomorrow if you want to see what it is like. I was about to refit it for myself but didn't get around to it yet.

Chris - is the 8.1 identical to the GTX?

Hey Bea - check this out. Weight range 100 - 176. Mark or Kate might know more about them, I think Mark had an Inazone once.

If I'm not mistaken, that looks like a Prozone, rather than an Inazone. The Prozone was not a newbie-friendly boat from what I have been told.

I had an Inazone 230, which I used as my "Class IV" boat for a couple years. Very well-behaved, but not real exciting boat.
