Exumas - First Day - March 22, 2014

Post by norm »

To help those of you that have not started their 2014 paddling season yet, I'm planning to add a series of trip reports for your reading and viewing pleasure over the next few weeks. One report for each day we spent in the Exumas.

There may be separate reports from others also, or they can tack onto these if they want to.

The trip was organized by the Marshfield Recreation Department and was well attended by Wild Turkey Paddlers.

Please use the link below to enjoy pictures on Facebook that should be accessible to anyone, even if you do not have a Facebook account. Please read the comments included with the pictures for more information about the trip.

I do not have as detailed a report as Norm, but here is a link to my pictures. I hope this works.

Damn!! You were in a little slice of heaven!!

Plenty of textured water too

How big was the big lizard (be nice)? If it wasn't for the big chin, it almost looked like a Komodo.

We only saw it from a distance, but I would guess maybe 5 feet head to tail.

Wow! Beautiful.

Great pictures, Guys.
Looks like you had a great time. Guess the texture of the water was a bit more exciting than you originally anticipated, too!

I didn't realize that wild turkeys could survive in the tropics...

Great shots....and it looks like a spectacular trip.
